Jewelry & Metal Arts

About

Luiza Anacleto Pulphus is a Brazilian designer and bench jeweler based in Brooklyn, New York. With a Bachelor of Design from Faculdade Mèliés and specialized training in jewelry fabrication and metallurgy, she brings a rigorous technical foundation to her practice.

Her work is rooted in a deep respect for material and process, shaped by years of hands-on experience with metals. Drawn to the intersection of craft and history, Luiza finds inspiration in art history, archaeological jewelry, ancestral techniques, and the cultural narratives embedded in objects across time.

She brings a particular sensitivity to the stories that objects carry, and to the responsibility of preserving them. Her practice extends beyond fabrication into documentation, restoration, and the written reflection on why material culture matters.

Currently based in New York, Luiza is expanding her work toward jewelry culture and art conservation, guided by the belief that understanding how something is made is inseparable from knowing how to care for it.
